Early access
New builds before they ship. Early access is a Pro benefit: flip one switch in the app and Spectra's own updater brings you the next release ahead of everyone else, on the same account, license, presets, and settings you already have.
Early access is not the public beta. All of Spectra is in public beta right now, on every plan. Early access is the separate Pro channel that puts the next build in your hands before it reaches everyone else.
Opting in
- 1Open Spectra and go to My Account in the sidebar.
- 2Turn on Early access. The switch is only there on a Pro plan.
- 3Spectra checks for updates right away. Take the update and it relaunches on the early access build.
You can tell the two apart at a glance: early access builds wear a purple app icon and an Early access badge next to your plan in the sidebar. Everything else is the same app.
Pre-release, on purpose
Early access builds are what the next release will be, a little before it is finished. Features may still be moving; occasionally something will be rough. If a build gives you trouble, turning early access off gets you out.
Your account and license are the real ones — nothing about early access is a separate sign-in or a sandbox. Purchases, presets, corrections, and Discover all work exactly as they do on the regular build.
Returning to the regular build
Turn Early access off and Spectra goes back to the regular update feed. The updater never installs an older version, so you stay on the build you have until the next regular release overtakes it — usually a matter of days.
To go back immediately, quit Spectra, download the regular build at spectraaudio.tech/download, and choose Replace when prompted. Your settings and license are unaffected either way.
Early access comes with Pro
Early access is included with every Spectra Pro plan — monthly, annual, or one-time. See what else Pro unlocks on the pricing section, or manage your plan at /account.
